4 Cr Free LED Bulbs to NFSA Beneficiaries in Odisha – Ama Ghare LED Light Scheme: The Odisha government announced to distribute 4 crore Free LED Bulbs. These LED Bulbs will be distributed to beneficiaries of National Food Security Act (NFSA). The main benefit of taking this step was to conserve power in the state. The State government will distribute the LED Bulbs under the Ama Ghare LED Light Scheme. Still, there are houses in some states where there is no electricity and in some of the states where the consumption of power is more. The Odisha government took a big step to conserve power.
The National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary people will get 2 LED Bulbs and they will be free of cost. And the Bulb which will people get from the state government will have a warranty period of 3 years. The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) will be handling the Free Distribution of 4 crore LED Bulbs. The State government has decided to complete the whole process by September end. The Odisha people will get all these free Bulbs at PDS and fair price shops. The State Govt. will start distributing the LED Bulb Scheme from October 2018.

The National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary people will get 2 LED Bulbs Free of cost under the Ama Ghare LED Light Scheme. This scheme will benefit lakhs of people in Odisha State. All the bulbs that state govt. will distribute to the National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary people are energy efficient and usage of these bulbs will not consume much electric power and it will benefit poor people in electricity bills.
The distribution of Bulbs will benefit the poor people who are economically weak. The National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary decided to distribute the bulbs through the Public Distribution System Retail Shops. These bulbs will be a fair price on the dates that are specified for the ration distribution. The PDS dealers will get the commission to distribute the LED Bulbs from the state govt. The National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiary people can avail the Ama Ghare LED Light Scheme at Rs. 125. Earlier, the Odisha state govt. has made an announcement in Odisha Budget 2018-19 which focused on raising the living standards of people.
As per the latest report has drawn by state govt. there is around 79.51 lakh out of 96.23 lakh families in the Odisha state are electrified. And this took under Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana – Saubhagya Scheme. This scheme will counter the UJALA Scheme of the Central government.
