Apply online for Driving Licence/ RC in Delhi – Check DL Registration Process and Details: The Delhi government recently published news that the driving licences (DL) and registration certificates (RC) applications will start the online process from 1 October 2018. The Delhi government want to set a trend by making the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to e-RTOs. By making e-RTOs, there will be less traffic and small queues at the RTO office. This major step will help Delhi people save its valuable time by not standing in the queue for a long time. Now the citizens will be able to apply online for Driving Licence/ RC in Delhi in a transparent and hassle-free manner from 1 October 2018.
The Delhi government took this major step so that there are very low chances and ensure that the crowds in RTOs should be kept as low as possible. From 1 October 2018, the entire Driving License process is shifted to the online procedure. In the current scenario, RTOs are accepting the applications manually and despite having the centralized software which is built by the central government. The Capital of India will become the first state in the country where all the RTOs are turned into online mode and will be accessible through online application services.
Apply Online for Driving Licence/ RC in Delhi from 1 October
The Delhi government announces to start an online process for the Driving Licence (DL) and Registration Certificates (RC) from 1 October 2018. The State government decided that all the 13 licensing offices of Delhi will be declared as e-RTOs. They decided to make 11 transport related services online which includes a learner’s driving licence or permanent driving licence or getting a registration certificate. This will help the citizen to apply online for this process and there will be no acceptance of a paper and manual applications of these services by RTOs.
The online process step will help in less corruption in government offices. And the payment will be made online for these services. And the govt decided that there will be no transactions with cash in RTOs. In addition to this, the application forms will be available at your doorsteps and people will not have to visit the RTO. And they also mentioned that the department officers will also pick up the required documents from home and which will be charged for Rs. 50.
The citizen who has applied for the online process for these services will get a choice to select 2 hours slots for their bio-metric collection and for driving tests. And they can also track the application status of driving licences online. Till date, there are only 2 functional e-RTOs which were working on a pilot basis in Vasant Vihar and Janakpuri. The State govt also decided that will spread this step which they took to make less traffic in RTOs to other states for better future.
