Bihar Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana – Machinery on Rent to Farmers: The Bihar government gave permission for allowance of Rs. 1692 crore for Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana. This scheme will benefit the farmers. Now all the farmers of Bihar state will be stress-free. Under this scheme, the Bihar state government will provide agricultural machinery to the farmers. The farmers will get the machinery on nominal rent facility.  The state government during the financial year 2018-19 to 2019-2020, will set up the Agriculture Machineries Bank. And the bank will be named as Krishi Sanyantra Bank. And the bank will set up in each Primary Agriculture Cooperative Credit Society (PACS) with an estimated amount of Rs. 20 Lakh.

The Primary Agriculture Cooperative Credit Society (PACS) will be benefited with 50% allowance as loan and 50% allowance as a grant under the Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana. And the farmers who do not have their own agriculture machinery will not have to take it on rent now from other farmers at higher rates. The Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana benefited the farmers with agriculture machinery with a nominal rent. And farmers can take machinery, pay affordable rent and can go for their work. The Bihar Cabinet Committee took the decision in the meeting which was held on 24 August 2018 for Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana. This Scheme was presided over by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The Bihar State government announced a scheme for farmers i.e. Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana to get Agriculture Machineries on affordable rents. This scheme is a hassle-free process and it will save time and money of the farmers.   • The Agriculture Machineries Banks will set up in each Primary Agriculture Cooperative Credit Society (PACS) level with an investment up to Rs. 20lakh each.
  • The Primary Agriculture Cooperative Credit Society (PACS) will be benefited with 50% allowance as loan and 50% allowance as a grant under the Mukhyamantri Harit Krishi Sanyantra Yojana.
  • Earlier, the PACS used to receive 75% of the allowance as loan and 25% as a grant. But after 24 August 2018 is changed.
  • A total allowance of 1692.60 crores is available by the state govt. To benefit the farmers.
  • This scheme is specially designed to benefit the farmer. This scheme will raise the income of farmer and boost the agriculture production.

This is the major decision by Bihar state govt. To boost the agricultural production and it steps towards the “Doubling Farmers Income by 2022”.
