UPSC Engineering Services 2018-19

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced notification for various vacancies for Engineering Services. People who were waiting for the UPSC Engineering Service Exams, then we are here to inform you that application forms are out for filling up. And the Last Date for Submission of Online Application Form is 22-10-2018. The examination will be conducted in objective type, written form and personality test and they will be provisional. There will be negative marking system for wrong answers. The Exams will be conducted in 3 steps and they are:

  1. Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
  2. Stage II – Mains Examination (Written)
  3. Personality Test

The UPSC Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage I) Examination will consist of two objective type (multiple choices) questions paper and carrying a maximum of 500 marks. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and Paper 2 will be of 300 marks. And same with the Engineering Services (Mains/ Stage II) Examination will be written type and carrying of 600 marks. The Candidates will have to apply for 2 papers and each carrying 300 marks. And at last, the Personality Test will be of 200 marks.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Engineering Services 2018-19

The Candidate applying for the UPSC Engineering Services examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination.

  • The candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal.
  • Applicant must have attained the age 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1 January 2019.
  • The Candidate must have obtained a Degree in Engineering from a recognized University

Application Fee:

  • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred)
  • The Application fees can be paid only by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of the SBI Bank.
  • Even Applicants can pay the fee using visa/ master credit/ debit card.
  • The women candidate of any community who belongs to the category of SC/ST/PH does not have to pay the Application Fees.
  • Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection

How to apply for the UPSC Engineering Services 2018-19?

  1. Candidates who wish to apply for the UPSC Engineering Services job must apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in.
  2. The candidate must apply the Application form online only, as the applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
  3. Candidates have to fill the application form and must upload all the necessary documents.
  4. The Applicants need to attach documents pertaining to educational qualifications and experience in a single pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 2MB.
  5. Print out the Application form and the fee receipt.
